Firefox 9 and Quicktime plugin always crash! Grrr.

I don't know why. I did a browser check and everything's fine. It happens on this site whenever I receive a notification or am playing a game that involves sound. I know I could just turn the sound off, but not knowing if I got a QN or a word right or wrong is gonna bug me. Plus, I'm always wanting to fix quirky little things like this. I've Googled it but can't find anything current. Help? I use Vista and, for now, Window-Eyes 7.0 but will be upgrading soon, and anyhow it does this when I use NVDA as well.

I use the latest version of NVDA and XP Home and can't even get Firefox 9 to work! It looks completely inaccessible to me, so I just went back to 3 something.

i wish the quick time plug in would work for me.because of the new version of internet explorer being such a mess, i now use firefox for everything- and this is the only site i use IE for, because otherwise i can't get the sounds.

i think it's something between firefox and the plugin, it's not just for firefox 9. they all have the problem.

Well, perhaps with the more recent versions. But before this, I must have had three-point-something and then seven and maybe eight and never really had a problem. Now Flash, on the other hand, I always have trouble with.

Yeah, flash and Firefox really don't get along, especially if the page is heavy on flash content.

This happens to me as well.
My plugin doesn't work for the sound on this site for either internet explorer or firefox 9.
I spent hours googling and troubleshooting it, but no luck.

I have been having the same probs with firefox as well. I'd say things got screwed when a new version of firefox started to come out every few months or so. I guess apple has not bothered to update or something.

Quick Time doesn't work with Fire Fox. Fire Fox upgrades to offten and is not compatible with it. If you don't want it to crash disable the plug and you'll be fine. You'll not miss much.
I find that using IE for some things and Fire Fox for some things rounds out my computing experience.

There is also google chrome.

I'm not sure how accessible it is these days, last I checked it still needed work.

I know it works for the most part with NVDA.

The only thing I don't really like about Chrome is it's a resource hog.

I've actually gotten use to not having sounds on this site.

You know, a friend of ine is using Chrome with JAWS. But I have a relatively recent copy of Window-Eyes, and nothing. When/if I can ever get it to upgrade (see my ther most recent topic), I'll let you know how it works with that.
And there's a Firefox 10? Fuck. Me.
